The Occultist: A Miscellany of the Strange

Violent Demonic Possession (by SSRFINC)

This video is fairly old and has millions of views.

It’s… disturbing.

Anneliese Michel Exorcism audio tapes (Long Version) (via StupidVideoHater)

Here’s some deeply disturbing stuff for your late summer Sunday afternoon - take the laptop into the darkest closet in the house & listen, if you dare. From the Youtube page hosting this video:

Anneliese Michel (September 21, 1952 – July 1, 1976) was a German Catholic woman who was said to be possessed by demons and subsequently underwent an exorcism. Two motion pictures, The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Requiem are loosely based on Anneliese’s story.

Anneliese experienced what is recognized by medical professionals as severe psychiatric disturbances from the age of 16 to her death, at age 23, as a direct or indirect result of an exorcism ritual. Both priests who performed the exorcism and Anneliese’s parents were convicted of negligent homicide. The Roman Catholic Church, which had authorized the exorcism, reversed its position and declared Anneliese Michel a case of mental illness. Many people believe she was genuinely possessed by demons, and her grave-site is a destination for pilgrims to this day.

In all seriousness, this is disturbing even if you don’t believe exorcisms involve demons, etc. You’ve been warned.

Texas Woman Claims Demons Made Her Want to Break Her Lease
Perhaps my skepticism is apparent in the headline. I think that was the deal with the Lutzes, the family behind the Amityville Horror, as well - at least at first. From KRGV TV:

They family was so scared they called a ghost hunter to find out what was going on.
“My little girl would see a little girl with dark hair. She said she looked sad.  Those were her words,” the woman explains.
She didn’t want her identity revealed.  But she tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS she moved from San Antonio after finding the home on craigslist.  She rented it without ever seeing it.

Stuff started happening a few months after the family moved in. The paranormal activities eventually drove the woman’s (she wouldn’t give her name) 4 kids to sleeping in the same room with her.
Naturally, perhaps, the ghost hunters the woman brought in to help confirmed there was a haunting, by a demonic little girl named Beth.
I’m kind of with the landlord on this one. From the article:

CHANNEL 5 NEWS contacted the home’s owner, Diana Johnson. She told us over the phone nothing bad has ever happened inside the house.
She suspects the woman made the whole story up to break her lease.

Seriously, the Lutzes got a whole book out of their situation. This lady should give her name and get an author and just go for it.
Hey, mysterious lady - The Occultist is available for that shit!
